Monterey Peninsula Gymnastics is the oldest gymnastics club in California.
We are the 3rd oldest gymnastics club in the United States.
Monterey Peninsula Gymnastics was established in 1964.
We have been at our current facility since 1996.
MPG is the home of the first gymnast from Monterey County to qualify to Men's Future Star Nationals.
The men's Olympic events are floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar.
Women have 4 Olympic events (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise).
Gymnastics has 6 disciplines: men's artistic, women's artistic, women's rhythmic, trampoline & tumbling,
acrobatics and group gymnastics.
In 2004, there were 12,076 registered competitive artistic men's gymnasts and 62,646 women's artistic
gymnasts in the United States.
Our girl's uneven bars are from the 2007 Visa Championships. World class gymnasts have swung on our bars!
